Yellow/golden coloured, small creamy white head, lemony nose. Mild lemony hoppy taste with yeasty notes. Bitterish finish and not so watery as I’ve expected. Drinkable but rather expensive beer.

0.5l bottle bought at some SPAR store in Budapest. Poured a yellow body with a small whte head that went away relatively fast. Almost no aroma, maybe some sourish graininess. Extremely watery, sourish, metallic, dry near the end. Some cardboardy grainy maltiness which actually helps this mess a little. Probably used half a hop cone for the entire batch. In the end you end up being glad that this is so light. Not offensive and cold enough might pass for drinkable if you are extremely low on cash, thus not Pécsi’s worst moment, but not far.

0.5l bottle in Budapest. Pale golden colour. Nose dominated by elder, with the taste being the same if a bit soapy, Which is a great thing for me since I love elder so this is probably getting more than it deserves.

Sample at the Eurostash tasting on 04/30/09: Can from K. Kert 2000 Bt. in Budapest. The beer is a murky brownish-amber color with a thin beige head that dissipates to a film eventually. Thin stringy lacing on the glass. Roasted malt aroma with touches of fruit and yeast. Medium body with a sweet roasted malt character, and flavors of dark fruits and yeast. The finish is malty with a lingering sweetness left behind. Decent overall.
