smell like I am sticking my nose of a Christmas tree that has covered in spices and that is not a bad thing. Actually nice depth, nice tangerine character with all the nutmeg and cinnamon. Very malty, slightly tart. Actually a nice Christmas ale
Alright but unmemorable

Mild haze on a golden beer with a white head. Yup, plenty of citra hop aroma and flavor with just a touch of bitterness. Medium bodied. Decent.

Number Nine Brewery Hammerhead Ale New Zealand Style Pale Ale 4% An orange copper color that’s remarkably clear with fizzy beige foam that lingers. The aroma is a bit of Citra like sweet tarts and earthy malts. The taste is a touch rough earthy bitterness with just a tiny bit of hops though I get some hints of diacetyl in the finish. Ok but not as nice as the Pilsner.

Number Nine Brewery Quays Pilsner Japanese Style Pilsner 4.5% I’m not sure how this is Japanese style??!? Clear gold with a thick head of foam and a touch of sulfur mixed in with the herbal hop spice notes. Medium bodied and very crisp and refreshing, herbal hops flavor but nicely balanced by slightly chewy malts. A pleasant surprise. Looking at KL’s review I guess they’ve dialed things in or this is canned and brewed elsewhere.

Tap at the brew pub. This has juniper berries and a bunch of other botanicals from their distillery added. Sabro coconut-esque nose, plus very herbal and fruity. Flavor is sweet and herbal with juniper and a bunch of other unnecessary stuff.

Tap at the brew pub. Bright citrus hops, light malt. Clear golden-copper. Light and thin body, piny, citrus hops. Decent but I think the 1.2% was better.

Tap at the brew pub. Hazy, bright gold. Looked like the hazy pale ale. Noe is bright citrus hops, probably American, also a bit wheaty. Sweet and hoppy flavor with some diacetyl which weakened it.

Tap at the brew pub. Hazy dark golden color with a low head. Big tropical fruit nose, orange juice. Nice balance, good hops. A bit thin but good.

Tap at the brew pub. Orange-copper, clear, with a low head. Spicy, citrus hop nose, light caramel, bready. Light and a bit thin but really great flavor, tasty hops, malt is also very satisfying for 1.2%. Maybe the best beer of this low abv I've had. Damn good.
