Bottle at Craig’s. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of liquorice, tar, coffee. Taste is rich dark chocolate, boozy. Finishes rich and sweet, quite hot.

Bottle thanks to Pohjala Chris. Appearance - jet black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate and toffee. Taste - molasses and liquorice well melded. Palate - full bodied with a sweet yet tangy texture and a balanced finish Overall - tasty imperial stout.

Pitch black color. Dark brown head. Big roasted malt, molasses, dark very sweet nose. Low carbonation. Very sweet, too sweet with some roasted malts. Too sweet to really work.

On tap at What’s Brewing. A black one, topped by a dense, finger-thick brown head leaving lacings. The aroma has lots of brown sugar tending towards molasses, with coffee and dark bitter chocolate. It’s full-bodied, sweet and with some warmth in the back. A nice bitterness, pleasant carbonation and flavors of brown sugar, coffee and dark chocolate. Lasting finish. A sweet, lovely dessert beer that perhaps is a tad on the dark malty side, but it’s damn fine anyway. 141101

On tap at What’s Brewing. It pours an unclear, very dark brown body under a dense, minimal sized beige head. The aroma is softer than the regular Odensholm, with some oak and booze, it’s vinous and with some vanilla. Roasted malts, licorice and coffee too. It’s full-bodied, lightly warming and soft on the palate, with roasted malts, vanilla, molasses, coffee and a woody touch. Pretty lovely this one, intense, but soft and sort of balanced. Would love to have a couple of bottles of this one. 141101

On tap at What’s Brewing. An unclear, dark, dark brown beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma has roasted malts, molasses, coffee, some licorice and alcohol. It’s hop-bitter, warming, full-bodied and soft on the palate, soft, with flavors of roasted malts, molasses and licorice. Lasting finish. A rather intense beer, but sure nice. A sipper. 141101

On tap at What’s Brewing. An almost clear one, golden in color and with a dense, finger-thick off-white head. The aroma have pine cones, resins, some chicken farm yeastyness and a faint roasted touch. Maybe that doesn’t sound good, but it’s actually quite decent. The flavor has a nice bitternes, with pine cones, resins and just a touch of sweetness. It’s quite dry, medium to full-bodied and with a decent carbonation. A bit strange aroma in this one, but overall it’s a fine and refreshing beer, although not my favorite IPA. 141101

On tap at What’s Brewing. A black one, topped by a dense light tan head. Some curtains left. Roasted malts, choocolate, some molasses and lactose in the aroma. There’s not much raspberry to be detected in the aroma, but there’s some in the flavor. Roasted malts, chocolate and molasses and lactose sweetness in the flavor. It’s full to medium bodied, finishing drier. Sure a nice one, well balanced and moreish. 141101
