Description
Põhjala Brewery is the brainchild of three friends and beer aficionados who, like many a future craft brewer, got tired of the tasteless watery lagers that the faceless megacorporations have saturated the beer market with.

We brew small batches of hand crafted ales, using the best malts, loads of mostly New World hops and a relentless passion for good beer. When creating our beers, we are inspired by Nordic nature, Estonian new cuisine and the work of our fellow microbrewers in the U.S., UK and Scandinavia who, in our opinion, are leading the craft beer revolution.

In hops we trust!

Very dark brown but not black. Thin, tan head. Big raspberry, chocolate, coffee malts, sweet fruits, booze. Full bodied. Finish is full of raspberry with some dark malt sweetness and a bit of tartness. I really dig this one. It’s very raspberry forward and that should be expected. It’s not JUST raspberry, though. Plenty of other notes to keep this one stout focused and fun.

Can at home. Bit hazy lighter golden. Sweet malts, zesty hops, doughy, spruce, light creamy, orange. Medium seeet and bitter. Medium bodied with a bit dry finish. Not bad, but the malt base is a bit weird.
