Description
Põhjala Brewery is the brainchild of three friends and beer aficionados who, like many a future craft brewer, got tired of the tasteless watery lagers that the faceless megacorporations have saturated the beer market with.

We brew small batches of hand crafted ales, using the best malts, loads of mostly New World hops and a relentless passion for good beer. When creating our beers, we are inspired by Nordic nature, Estonian new cuisine and the work of our fellow microbrewers in the U.S., UK and Scandinavia who, in our opinion, are leading the craft beer revolution.

In hops we trust!

0,33l bottle at home courtesy of Saeglopur, big thanks. No BB date. black color, tiny head. smells molasses, dried fruit, light boozy notes, light black currants, jammy, hints of smoke, toasted barrel. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes molasses, tad smoky, some sweetness, bit fruity, dried fruits, bit earthy. finishes light to medium sweet with notes of molasses, some smoky notes and dried fruits. heavy, not overly pronounced, barrel not noticeable. good but also rather sweet, not overly special for me.
