330 ml bottle, as Põhjala Bonfire Bänger Imperial Stout, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 12.5%. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma of roast malts, smoked malts (yes, bonfire), coffee and dark chocolate, hints of vanilla. Rich and warming mouthfeel. Sweet flavour with molasses and the same elements as the aroma.

(Bottle) Brownish black colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Malty, roasty nose with dark bread, chocolate, cherries, almonds, coffee and vanilla. Malty, roasty, sweetish taste with notes of dark bread, chocolate cherry truffles, almonds, coffee, raspberries, vanilla and a mild cacao bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, sweet (not as much as feared though). A slight berry tartness in the background. Rich, tasty and well balanced. Very nice.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy pale golden, small head. Aroma of nectarine and passionfruit, Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Nectarine and grapefruit before a pine bitter finish.

Opaque colour, small brownish head. Jammy raspberry in the nose with some toasted notes. Full-bodied. Smooth palate. Sweetish, toasted malts, raspberry is dominant. Overall nothing is wrong. Malty, drinkable, berryish, well-brewed. Just not very interesting combo.

Bottle. Nose is unctuous , chocolate, soy, leather, hint of treacle, smoke, hint of spice. Incredibly inviting.
Taste is rich smoke, umami, meats, soy, salty leading to a rich leathery woody note, then emerging from it is a sweet fruity note in the finish. The sweetness gives cherry, a hint of almond, and pear drops. It's beautifully balanced.

44cl can bought at the brewery. Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Smooth, fruity and surprisingly mild; tropical fruits, citrus and pale malt. Medium to moderate sweet with milder flavours than expected, bitterness also on the lighter side. Easy to drink and fairly enjoyable.
