Description
On the outskirts of Billund, just a stone's throw from the expansive Jutland heaths, lays Dansk Mjød. A traditional brewery which has brewed mead since 1994 on the basis of old recipes and with an uncompromising focus on quality and ingredients. It is the endless stories and myths about mead, which still inspire Dansk Mjød to create products that combine the ancient brew craft and tradition with a modern eye for quality and tastes.

Bottle shared by Fonefan at his place. Clear pale golden color, no head. Strong aroma that I feel is pretty chemical. Taste has it too. It’s clearly coming from the apples in it but it doesn’t really combine well with the honey imo. Don’t like this one.

Bottle at Yespr. Faint amber-orange color, floaties. Cloying honey nose, oranges. Sweet honey flavor, wood, somewhat dry and raunchy, with berries. OK.

Bottle at Yespr. Fruity, citrus, orange, honey nose. Amber-orange color. Huge honey flavor, fruity, tangy, with oranges. Cloying but the honey flavor is lovely.

Sampled @ RB Danish Summer Gathering 2013 day 2, Ulfborg. Stone jug. Clear yellow to golden color, no head. Aroma and taste are bit alcoholic, sweetish, slightly chemical. Not bad though. Hard to describe nevertheless.

Sampled @ RB Danish Summer Gathering 2013 day 2, Ulfborg. Stone jug. Clear yellow-light golden color, no head. Aroma is quite alcoholic, a bit chemical, liquor and vinegar. Taste sweetness, some alcohol, some candy sweetness combined with strong alcohol. Somehow pretty drinkable.
