About
Mad Hatter Brewing Company was set up by Gaz and Sue in 2013, with just one grand in their back pockets, and a glorified home brew set up. The brewery has always punched above its weight, and was championed from the start by the brilliant Port St Beer House. They produce weird and wonderful beers alongside some classic pale ales, stouts and IPAs.

Bottled 330ml. -from Beergium. Golden coloured, medium sized white head, light basil without any oranges in the nose. Noticable basil, light citrusy and mild sourness with tartish dry finish. Interesting and pleasant. 6.4%ABV

Bottle from Alesbymail. Slow gushing Imperial Stout? You don’t see that every day. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, bretty and dark fruit. Flavor is quite sweet, moderate bitter and light acidic. Dry, moderate bitter and light acidic finish. Solid brett infection, and most likely not what the brewer intended. Not bad, though. 040518

Bottle @ Saxo tasting. Murky yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and rather hoppy - fruity. Flavor is quite sweet, rather bitter and slightly acidic. Dry, moderate bitter and slightly acidic finish. 040518

Bottle, 8.5%. Unclear yellow with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hops, gooseberries and elderflower? Flavour is malt, fruit, hops, gooseberries, medium sweet, little grapefruit and medium bitter.

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich hops, fruits, flowers, berries, malt and has a nice hoppy citrus finish.
