Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, dark berry, wood, blackcurrant. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate acidic with a long duration, tart wood - berry - blackcurrant, chocolate, dark malt, dark berries, medium dry. 330ml bottle [Thanks a lot for this one, Maddie!]. Cloudy, dark brown colour with small to average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of cocoa, a touch of cherry. Taste is roasty dark malty, dusty hints of cocoa, a touch of rum-soaked cherries, some milk chocolate. Rather light for its 8.2% abv.

0.33 l bottle from ’BierPost.com’, best before November 2016. Clear, very dark reddish brown with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish, a bit fruity and slightly roasty aroma of caramel, nuts, a touch of chocolate and raisins. Sweetish-malty, bready, slightly roasty and a bit fruity taste of caramel, toasted bread, nuts, some raisins and hints of chocolate, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly roasty and a bit dry finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice, a bit unround, too bready maybe, but still pleasant to drink.

Bottle simple, thanks, touch hazy pale yellow color, strong honey flavor, aromatic fruity honey flavor light to medium bitterness, a bit diluted. Fair.

[9/24/16] Bottle sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2016 in Bodegraven. Day two. Pale yellow. Grainy aroma, a bit floral, light hops. Grainy sweetish flavor with bitterish floral hops.

On tap @EurHop 2016 (Rome). Pours deep brown/black with a medium off-white head. Aroma of cherry and chocolate cream, mon cheri, light coffee touch, very light licorice. Flavour is medium sweet with a light fresh cherry sourish note, chocolate, quite balanced. Medium body, medium to light carbonation. A bit rough but interesting!
