Tapped. Pale yellow colour, white minor head. Malty and yeasty aroma. Yeast and malt in flavour. Pretty standard lager, nothing special.

Tapped. Hazy yellow colour, foamy white head, lacing. Sweet wheat ad malt with hints of caramel in aroma. Very sweet fruitish and wheaty flavour. Leaves mouth very sticky. Good wheatbeer.

Bottled. Golden coloured with mediumsized white head. Weak sweetish malty aroma with honeyish notes. Sweet malty honeyish taste with caramellish finish. Rich tonguetickling carbonation. Hides alcohol well.

Clear gold, good firm white head. Rather creamy nose, chalk & milky - ends up with a little whiff of mint. Oppressive bitter almonds taste - rest is just some grain, getting sweeter warming up. Light bodied, some slickness. If this "unique taste and subtlest aroma" are bitter almonds and cyanids, I predict a dire future for "export" of this rare Russian "threat"...

Nearly black beer; brown head, reasonably stable. Dark, roasted malts & grains, oatmeal porridge, brown candig sugar and sweetbread in the nose. Roasted malts and grains make a bitterish surrounding for a rather sweet beer. Speculoos and a bit smokey flavours. Finish is quite long and mainly bitterish/roasted. Slight burning, there is some alcohol detectable. Aftertaste ends chocolatey. Has several characteristics of a (rather good) Doppelbock. Nice beer, really. Has even some esters, though it is bottom-fermenting.

Fully hazy (yeast flocculating in suspension) honey gold; huge, ultrafine & snowwhite head, quite stable. Some alcohol evident, bit sweet nose, candi sugar. Instead of the expected Bavarian banana/cloves, it smells more like a strong Belgian golden. Grainy, some wheat, and finally, faint cloves in the taste. Slight, but obvious sourish-wheaty edge. Faint citrus, sweeter finish. Medium bodied, yeast lends it a quite creamy MF. Decent Hefeweizen, surprising feature from Russia.

Deep golden colour; just off-white, collapsing head. Rather fresh, grainy nose, herbal-smelling hops. Sodden-sweet taste, vaguely malty; almondy surrounding, corn(?). Bit slick MF, more than light bodied. If there’s anything special going on, it’s too subtle for me. Sweet, slick and boring.

Pale golden beer; thick, fine, very white head, fast gone. Vanilla, wet hay, faint grain - very vaguely sourish smell. Sharpish grainy-malt taste, or some adjunct, some faint cookie. Sweet, but with again a sourish edge. Liquorice in the finish. Light MF, bit fizzy. Small burning aftertaste. Half litre of boring lager - ’nuff said.

Bottled. Copper colour, rich, lasting head. Vague toffee aroma. Medium sweet with decently firm body and clean mouthfeel and notes of coffee. Might be the one Baltika beer I actually enjoy.

Pour is a nice hazy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is lots of bananas and yeast. Lots of floaties in there as well. Flavor is packed full of vanilla with a spicey kick to it at the end. Very nice and better than most hefe’s made here. Who knew the Russian could make such a nice wheat beer.
