Temporarily nationalised by the Russian government from summer 2023 until winter 2024. Carlsberg Group sold all its assets in Russia at the end of 2024. Current owner is VG Invest LLC.

450ml bottle. Pours clear gold with a brief medium-sized white head. Aroma is grain, fruit, grass. Taste is medium sweet, slightly light struck. Light bitter finish. I’m pretty sure the Russian-brewed Kronenbourg didn’t taste like this.

Bottle. Dark golden, slightly hazy, almost white head. Aroma: citrusy and pine, light yeasty note, a little mango. Taste: malty, pine, grapefruit, citrus, yeasty bitterness with hints of aspirin.

Sample. Nut brown, small head. Aroma of cabbage, pine and caramel. Sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Mushy caramel, sharp metal and syrup. Low bitterness.
