Old rating from 13-08-15. Bottle picked up in Moscow & enjoyed at home in Jersey. Pours black with an off-white creamy head. Aromas & tastes of burnt coffee, tobacco, dark chocolate, red wine & vanilla. Moderate to medium body. Dry light bitter finish.

Appearance: Foggy amber, small off-white head of low retention. Aroma: Honey, pollen, floral notes. Taste: Similar picture. Additional distant hop. Medium sweet, Low bitterness. Mouth feel: Medium body. Lively carbonation. Summary: Obviously not my kind of brew.

Can sample at a Max's tasting at his place. Deep golden. Some apricot, slightly stale hops, sweetish, strong bitterness, some alcohol.

Bottle. Golden, hazy, yellow foam. Aroma: light wildness and acidity, citrus, fruity. Slightly sour taste, a little smoked and infected, fruity, a little white wine, so-so.

Appearance: foggy chestnut brown, tall off-white frothy head of good retention and lacing. Aroma: bacon, smoked cheese, special malts, a hint of insulating tape. Taste: purely brewed, medium dry to light sweet, intense caramel, toast, smoked bacon and cheese, hop. Medium minus ending bitterness. Palate: medium minus body, moderate carbonation. Overall: a pretty nice smoked bock. Surprisingly well done.

Appearance: cloudy ochre yellow with a moderate off-white head of decent retention and lacing. Aroma: candied citrus fruit, biscuit malt, ale yeast, white grape skins, sunflower oil, light off-notes caused by fermentation. Taste: biscuit malt, leather yeast, citrus fruit, a bit vinous. Light bitterness. Palate: ligh plus body, average to lively carbonation. Overall: pretty strange, not overly pure.

Look: cloudy deep golden colour with a small white head. Aroma: grain, peppery hop, lager yeast, light DMS. Taste: similar to the aroma. Sweetish. Low to light bitterness. Palate: light to medium body, average carbonation. Overall: not impressive at all.

Look: opaque deep brown to black, one finger tall beige head, well-lacing. Nose: roast, milk coffee, a hint of earth. Taste: light sweet, lactic. Roasted barley, coffee, light bitter hoppy ending. Palate: silky texture, light to medium body. Average carbonation. Overall: decent

Bottle as Trigger Citrus IPA at 5% ABV. Look: Cloudy yellow to orange. Moderate white head. Aroma: malts, grapefruit, orange (feels not that natural), grassy hop notes. Taste: citrus fruit, mostly orange, neutral malts, a touch of dank. Light to medium bitterness. Overall: drinkable enough, not best at balance.

Bottled at 6.5% ABV. Look: misty deep amber colour with a large off-white well-lacing head. Aroma: biscuit, toasted malts, slack citrus, coniferous and earthy hop. Taste: bittersweet. Biscuit, toast, grapefruit, pine, earth. Medium minus bitterness. Palate: medium minus body. Average carbonation. Overall: quite run-of-the-mill.
