Description

50 cl bottle @ VastActiv, bottled 08.08.2014 (wtf?)
The bottle had medal of honnours at its neck
Aroma has sweet fruity tones, toffee, caramel and toffee candy. Flavour has resiny tones, caramel, toffee and some grapefruit. Also gooseberry bush. Aggresive, but could use more balance. Finishes with lingering hops & herbal tones. Not sure what to think about this; too sweet but the hops are nice.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE 07/14, courtesy of FatPhil, 20141122) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had fruitiness, creamy toffee and mildly cowhouse. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A nice but somewhat watery double ipa.

500ml bottle

Pours dark orange with a smooth bubbly head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, ripe fruits and citrus. Taste is sweet, stuffy and malty with loads of caramel, toffee, hints of citrus and floral hops. Finish is hoppy, sweet and malty with notes of caramel and toffee. Okay, but a bit too sweet for my taste. Could be better from a fresh bottle.

Bottle. A lightly hazy one, dark golden in color and with a dense, off-white head. Curtains. Very fruity and citrusy, with some peaches and saison like yeast. Lots of tropical fruits in the flavor too, with a nice bitterness. Pale malts, caramel notes and even more tropical fruits in the flavor. Full body, semi dry and with a nice carbonation. Lasting finish with fruityness and pine cones. Wonderful and quite complex. 141114

0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This one pours a cloudy deep amber bronze colored body and a nice lacing off-white head on the top. Smells quite nice and interesting. Belgian indeed, and I actually do pick up the rye. Also, I get traces of honey and something else sweetish. Smells quite nice, and what do you know it tastes nice also. The rye definitely shines through, as does the Belgian influences. Mild yeasty and zesty all in once. Well hopped, but it's not too bitter at all. Creamy growing carbonation and it feels nice and oily in the mouth. Grassy tail. Yeah, this is one nice colab. 06.11.2014

06.11.2014, 0,5l bottle sampled @ BBGTC tasting:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly fresh fruity, citrus, hops, leafs, yeast, grass, orange, dried fruits, minerals, malt. Taste is slightly harsh grassy, old leafs, harsh hops, hay, citrus peel, yeast, minerals, medicine, flowers, wood. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh and slightly watery mouthfeel. Fair enough.
