Bottle from Lidl (Oktoberfest 10 x Mixed Beer Case). Pours a clear light golden colour with a medium sized fluffy white head. Aromas of sweet grains, hay, bread and lemon. Taste has toasty grains, hay, bread, more lemon, some added honey, citrus and peppery spice. A light fresh grassy hop on the finish. Medium body, average carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Slightly more hoppy than i expect from a Marzen but still fairly decent.

500ml bottle from the Lidl Festbier box. Pours gold, bready honey aroma. Continues to taste, nicely sweet with cereal grain and a mild floral citrus hop presence. Decent.

Tight white head on finely carbonated pale golden body. Bready, biscuit & cereal aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a tingle on the back & cloying aft. Sweet stone fruit, cereal, citrus & bitter hop tastes with a bitter finish. Nicely balanced.

Bottle from Aldi/Kalea Oktoberfest box. Brooklands branch. Aroma has light citrus and sherbert. Earthy. Light gold. Thick foamy frothy white head. Sweet... doughy. Sugary. Citrus, which itself has sweetness as well as sourness. Latent herbal bitterness. Light. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Sweet, which I'd not always a plus for me, however it slips down easy like.

Bottle from Lidl;s 10 pack. A crystal clear golden coloured pour with a well proportioned fluffy white head that lasts. Attractive pint. Some lacing. Aroma is semi sweet, cracker, apple curd, slightly dusty grains, hay barn, apple esters. Flavour is composed of nutty cereal grains, hay, apple esters, mild alcohol bite in the finish. dusty barn . Some estery sweetness in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, crisp finish with a little alcohol bite, fine carbonation.
