Bottle - Vintage 2013 - Light tart funky citrus. Clearish light gold. Light tart acidic notes and a touch of funk. Nice peel bitter finish.

0,33l bottle at home bought at Astral Beers, Bologna. BB 31.12.2017. dark brown color, small tan head. smells raisins, marzipan, light sherry, light fruity, parfume, some bitter chocolate, licorice. very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, dried fruits, light raisins, spices, some sherry, light sweetness. finishes lightly dry with notes of dried fruits and spices. quite good one, i am not a big fan of barley wines, but this one is quite nice and complex.

33 cl bottle from Tanakaya. Nose of grapes, blueberry, plums, enormous fruits, forest humus. Glowing deep cloudy purple with lace. Sweet and malty, chocolate, berries, caramel, raisins, cinnamon, spices, honey, wine, wild flowers. Wow. Lovely, fascinating flavors. Love it.

33 cl bottle from Tanakaya. 9.1%. Vinous nose, chestnuts, chocolate, caramel, honey, apricots/plums, and grapes. Very complex, with the Belgian yeast pulling it together nicely. Lovely, shiny reddish brown with a full, rocky head. Richly malty and very fruity. Not overly sweet, dry, with a very bitter finish. Raisins, chestnuts, plums, light orange. Excellent stuff. Very rich and yet very fruity and not cloying at all. Up there with the best Belgian-made beers of this strength. Full, smooth body.

A golden ale with a thick frothy lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, candy sugar, light maple, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light vinous notes, maple notes, light vanilla, alcohol warmth, nice. On tap at Must!

Bottle shared at the 10th Annual Epic & Unusual Beer Tasting, 11/29/15. Hazy purple, thin fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of earth, grape, raisin, blueberry. The taste is sweet blueberries, caramel, earth, grape. Medium bodied, sweet.

Sour cherry and funk nose. Cloudy, pinkish copper, headless. Sour cherry, but not overly tart. twigs. Merdium body, almost no carbonation.
