0.5 l swingtop bottle from ’Holy Craft Beer Store’, best before March 2016. Clear, amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan to white head. Faint, malty-grassy, slightly roasty aroma of caramel and nuts. Sweetish-malty taste of caramel and nuts, followed by a short, medium bitter, grassy and slightly roasty finish. Thin to medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Decent, nothing special.

On tap at Kürzer. Smooth malty beginning. Not too much bitterness, smooth and easy to dink. Hints of caramel, malt and dark malt. The level of bitterness is not too high, easy to drink with a smooth caramelly dark aftertaste. Round and nice.

On tap at Kürzer-pub. Neutral grainy beginning. Not much bitterness, not much depth. Sweetish with an easy-to-drink profile. The aftertaste has hints of grain, hints of sweetness and not too much depth with only very few bitterness.

Bottle. Clear brown/amber with a decent white/beige head. Aroma of malts, nuts, caramel and earthy and herbal hops. Taste follows aroma plus toffee, some chocolate and metal. Distinct herbal bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. Very nice.

Mild herber, etwas pappiger Antrunk. Geringe Hopfigkeit, die Herbe steigt. Leicht bitter, zum Ende frischer als zu Beginn, mild würzig. Ok. 11/8/7/8//8

From backlog. The aroma and flavour are strong in pale malts. Very fresh tasting and also has a yeasty tang.

Tap: Golden, visible but lazy carbonation, stable white head with a good lace; dryish grassy nose, some papery undertones covering cheap pale malt; delicate dry bitter flavour with a slight acidity - no infection, light bodied; short grassy-papery dry finish.Meh! Nothing more than a german crappy mass-market Pilsener…

Tap at Brauerei Kurzer, Dusseldorf. Clear golden color, good white cloudy head. Herbal-hayish hoppyness. Light-bodied. Flavor is also hayish-hoppy, quite dry, North German. Clean but not really exciting.

Tap at Brauerei Kurzer, Dusseldorf. Clear amber color, good creamy beige head. Aroma has caramel, herbs and brown sugar. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Flavor is toasted caramel and herbal hoppyness. Short finish. Not as solid as the classic alts in the city.
