(Bottle 33 cl) As with most of Harboe’s seasonals it’s hard to determine whether it’s a new beer or just another label beer. Very dark golden, almost amber in colour with a neat, small head. Dry and lightly malty, but not very sweet in spite of the added sugar. Not the world’s most refined beer, but a fairly decent brew. I believe the label won a prize for the best new label in the year of it’s introduction. 290100

(Bottle 33 cl) Yellowish golden beer, pretty much without head. Soft, slightly sweet - a faint idea of hops in the finish. Yet another Harboe pilsener, or perhaps more likely - yet another label pilsener. 230100

(Bottle 33 cl) Wonder if this is called "Silver" because it’s so pale? Just a few shades above clear. Leaves a weird, sticky sweet sensation in the palate. Quenches your thirst - and that’s about it. 140100

(Bottle 33 cl) As usual with the series of Harboe beers called "Bryggeren" this is dark golden with a fine creamy head and a lovely malty nose. Some metallic edges doesn’t succeed in drowning the nice malt. Not bad for a light beer. 221199

(Bottle 33 cl) "Bjørnebryg" is the quintessence of Danish malt liquor. This is really THE beer to get pissed by if you’re a tramp - or a student. But it doesn’t really taste that horrible - at least not when it’s very cold. Minimal colour, minimal head, minimal aroma. Light bitterness and ditto sweetness - and a lot of alcohol. (Bottle 33 cl) One of several so-called "Classic" pilseners introduced in Denmark after the success of "Tuborg Classic". A little softer, a little sweeter with a touch of caramel. Pronounced malty character. Not that bad. 151199

(Bottle 33 cl) Harboe wastes absolutely no opportunity to put a seasonal on the market. But I’m pretty damned sure that it’s the same bloody beer for Easter, for harvest, for mid-summer - you name it - just with a different label. Dark golden, small head. Slightly sweetish, malty while you have to imagine the hops. Not bad - but we’ve been down this road so many times before. 090899
