Description
The brewing company of the Montseny was born with the desire to provide a craft beer of the highest quality: our beers are handcrafted and natural.
We are a microbrewery with a productive capacity of 3.000 litres in each development. Through the system of English traditional elaboration (with maceration by the method of simple infusion), the production process is virtually manual. Because of these unique features of elaboration, handcrafted beers are produced.
In the brewing of the Montseny we bottle natural beers and unpasteurised. The carbonic gas is generated naturally by the yeast that is contained in the bottle. We can say that they are living beers that evolve over time. The alcoholic fermentation is a traditional way to food processing to lengthen their preservation allows us to not add any artificial preservative to the beer.
Our microbrewery specialises in beers of the family of the Ales or high fermentation, unlike the majority of the national productions, which are of the family of the Lager or bottom-fermented. It is recommended to drink our beers, if well fresh, less cold than the Lager.

330mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out loads of bourbon barrels upfront, followed by roast, and soy sauce. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of bourbon barrels, followed by cocoa, a little soy sauce, and a little alcohol. A little harsh, with a subtle tartness, but the bourbon character is very nice.

The Aromas are dark malt, molasses, roast and black patent. Flavors are very similar to nose, sweet up front tempered with some roast, body is on the flat side. Not bad but too flat and the Molasses are too heavy.

Gott!

Strong dominant aromas in order are Peat, molasses and dark malt. Flavors are similar to nose, more balanced Bittersweet up front with complimentary carbonation and body with a slightly boozy finish. Lots of dark malt, roast with a little black patent. Pretty nice beer.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Bubbles on the surface of a dark orange coloured body, next-to-clear. Promising swell of almond and mid-sweet grain. Solid almond taste profile supported by biscuit, and earth. Sweet almond-fruity finish with warmth from the alcohol. Well bodied. Decent slow sipper on a Saturday afternoon. Rather sweet though. (Tromsø 07.09.2019).

The Aromas are lots of roast and dry grain with some molasses and black patent, hints of cocoa and coffee. Flavors are very much like nose, sweet up front with a little bitter in the back. Good carbonation body and finish. Just a little alcohol warmth at the very end. Fairly decent beer for the power.

33cl can bought at Montseny booth @ Fira del Poblenou, BCN. BB 12/07/2021.
