Bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a small, fast disappearing beige head. Aroma is dark, roasted malt, slightly perfumed and mild alcohol. Flavor is sweet, dark, medium roasted malt with distinct Bourbon. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Decent but I find it a bit one-dimensional, still a tad better then the Brandy version.

Bottle from Etre Gourmet webshop, Grez Douceau, Belgium. Had this Saturday 16th May 2020, still on CORVID-19 lockdown, on a Zoom Cocktail Party call with Bob and friends. Pours black with a small head. Bourbon immediately apparent on the nose. In the mouth this is quite warning, it's got a kick, bourbon, chocolate and roasted malts mingle. It's a good Impy.

Bottle at home. Three year old. Pours a dark brown to black colour with a beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, oak and nougat. Flavour is similar with more ash and dark chocolate. Has a silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Well-balanced and roasted. Not much from the bourbon though.

Deep dark chocolate, ate, cocoa and marshmallows. Jet brown with a small light brown head. Woody and a bright note I can’t place, Not tart but sharp. Long molasses and bourbon finish.

Dark brown, no head. Some haze. Rich toffee, burnt fruits, chewy, lots of alcohol. On the palate it's kind of thin, but a touch of burnt sugars and vague fruits. So a bit of a let down. Nice bourbon notes, and some good elements, but I'd prefer more body.

330mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out loads of bourbon barrels upfront, followed by roast, and soy sauce. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of bourbon barrels, followed by cocoa, a little soy sauce, and a little alcohol. A little harsh, with a subtle tartness, but the bourbon character is very nice.

Strong dominant aromas in order are Peat, molasses and dark malt. Flavors are similar to nose, more balanced Bittersweet up front with complimentary carbonation and body with a slightly boozy finish. Lots of dark malt, roast with a little black patent. Pretty nice beer.

Bottle, thanks César! Black. Malt, bourbon and vanilla in the aroma. Malt, oak, bourbon, vanilla and roast in the sweet flavor. Full bodied. Fairly complex. Licorice. Low on carbon. Nice, well executed BA RIS.

On tap at Vrteška, Belgrade in May 2018. Black! Fruity with bourbon flavours, rich, alcohol present. Lightly sweet, lightly tart, fruity flavours. Creamy, thick, strong, moderate finish. Warming. Serious.
