Description
On a small abandoned farm back in 2002 William Frank and Else Birk started a small brew house focusing on quality and good craftsmanship. The brewery was not far from where the Grauballe man (a bog body that was uncovered in 1952 from a peat bog) was found - hence the name Grauballe Bryghus.
Grauballe Bryghus was in these premises until the year 2013. By then it had grown so big that it was time to move to larger premises where it is today.

From bottle with 7,0 % ABV consumed on train from Algeciras to Barcelona 20.07.17. Chestnut. Foamy, dense and persistent head and lacing. Slightly earthy aroma, with pine, cereals, grapefruit and figs. Similar taste. A bit fizzy carbonation.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy amber with a small, whiteish head. Aroma is very subtle, perhaps a hint of caramel and nuts. Very light-bodied, but actually has quite a pleasant flavour, toffeeish and nutty with a pleasant perfumy hoppy touch. Hardly any bitterness at all. For what it is, it's actually very well made and a pleasant quencher. 241017

Bottle. Pours hazy coffee brown with airy but stable light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and roast, with notes of fruit and yeast and touches of caramel. Bitter flavour of roast, with mild hoppy touches, complemented by sweetish notes of fruit and hints of caramel. Rough, roasty and estery aftertaste. Reasonable but a little too watery, I think.
