Bottle at home. Clear golden color, medium to full sized rough white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, straw, malty bitter, slight sweetish hints in the background. Decent body and carbonation.

Bottle at Café Otto, Deggendorf with Dad and Pauline, Saturday 24th August 2024. Pours gold, excellent clarity, mid sized white head, nice carbonation, dry finish, nice crispness but could be a bit better.

Sample pour. First time knowingly drinking a Dampfbier as the only other one I’ve had was before it was an Untappd style. Not offensive, but no real flavor.

Bottle from Lidl in Uxbridge from their big Oktoberfest box last year. A dark golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweetish, bready, malty, yeasty taste and aroma. Not a huge fan of German beer but this is quite a drinkable marzen.

Appearance: Cloudy deep brown with a nice head. Aroma and taste: Toasted malt & bread, dried banana, other esters, hop, distant clove. Light sweet & bitter. Mouth feel: medium minus body, average to lively carbonation. Overall: Pretty good.
