Bottle from Gulating Brennåsen. Hazy orange golden with a fair white head. A bit mild aroma of citric fruit with a hint of pale malt and yeast. Flavor is sweet pale malt, some citric fruit in general and moderate bitterness. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Drinkable but feels to week for a session IPA, probably closer to an APA at the best.

Shared 500 ml bottle, batch #55. ABV is 8.0%. Cloudy reddish amber colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Fruity / berry aroma, Sweet flavour, malty, alcoholic, berry notes, moderate hops.

Shared bottle at RB/HD at Tau 15.06.17. Hazy orange amber. Off-white head and lacing. Heavy aroma of ethanol, wood, pine and dry fruits. Similarly heavy taste, with citrus, pine shoots and dried fruits.

Fra flaske på RBHD sommeravslutning på Tau, juni-17: lett uklar kobbergylden med ok skum. Malt, brunsukker, karamell og røde bær i vinøs aroma og smak. Urteaktig bitterhet med mild avslutning preget av alkoholsødme og overmodne røde bær.

Bottle from Gulating Brennåsen. Unclear dark golden body with a fine, tan head. Moderate aroma of malt, general fruitiness, some grass and yeast. Flavor is malty with some biscuit, general fruit, hint of orange zest and moderate bitterness. Medium body, actually balanced and some more obvious bitterness in aftertaste. Totally decent brew within the more general ale genre. Nothing wrong and nothing special.

Bottle. An unclear dark orange to amber colored beer with a small off-white head. Some nail polish remover on the nose, with sweetish fruits and some malt notes. It’s full bodied, low on carbonation, lightly warming and quite sweet. Fruityness, dried peach, acetone, fresh peach and a malty touch in the back. Lasting sweet, fruity and warming finish. Way too unclean and warming this one. 170414

Big slightly fizzy-creamy longlasting head. Aroma is kind of harsh yeasty, almond essence, weeds, minerals, yeast, bark, paper, candi sugar. Taste is slightly harsh yeasty, weeds, yeast, sour grass, almond essence, candi sugar, bark, paper, minerals. Medium bitterness, harsh yeasty mouthfeel. Crap.

500 ml bottle @ The Tap Room, Mandal. Dark brown, almost black body with a small but lasting beige head. Aroma has mild, roasted dark malt, chocolate and hint of coffee. Flavor is mild, smooth, sweet dark, medium roasted malt, dark chocolate and hint of coffee, moderate bitterness. Body feels a bit on the lighter side, long lasting mild roasted aftertaste. Did not know the ABV when drinking this and was pretty surprised to read 8%. Pretty mild and easy drinkable, well-hidden alcohol, actually thought it was just a tad stronger than Guiness. Session stout with the exception of the ABV.
