(bottle) Clear golden colour with a foamy white medium lacy head. Malty aroma, slightly grainy with wet straw and a herbal hoppy tinge. Bittersweet flavour, almost medium bodied, crispy mouthfeel. Light-sweet malty start, moderately hoppy (for an Export) and bitter finish. This one was already a classic during my school-days in Dortmund. It´s the favourite macro of my younger sister, pivnizub swears on it and Robert (dortmunder) liked it even more.

Bottle: Clear, lively carbonation, straw golden coloured, stable fluffy white head; clean malty nose with a touch of vanilla and caramel, faint hoppiness from far behind; mild, smooth, sweetish flavour; short, sweetish grainy finish with some "late" bitterness. A decent, smooth EXPORT.....!

Test vom 10.8.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,9,9,7,9 - 8,85

Bottle: Golden coloured, thin, but lasting white head; clear malty and grainy nose, shy notes of grassy hoppiness;slightly sweet flavour, moderate malty taste; medium bodied, very smooth; ends in a light, longer bitter aftertaste. A goodie......

5.8/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 5 Flavor 5 Texture 6 Overall 6
Bottle: Light golden coloured, medium sized head, lasting; malty/bready nose, some traces of alcohol and bitterness; initial sweetish maltiness becomes dryer towards the short, only slightly bitter finish; medium bodied, fizzy carbonation, but very soft. Not bad, but why didn’t the brewers call it "Export"......?

(bottle) A very decent but crisp Pilsener beer. Although (or because) I´ve drunk it on almost every party during my days in Dortmund, it is as average as most of the bland mainstream brews of its category in my opinion. The Export of Kronen is much more spectecular.

A yellow beer with a fine though disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of grain. The flavor is boring sweet malty.
