Keg at Brighton Bier House. It pours hazy orangey amber with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet malt - driven affair, bready malts, cake, biscotti, toasted almond. The taste is bitter - sweet, bready, sponge cake, warming alcohol, cereal, chewy malt, bit of spice and earth with drying and chewy finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Very much an English strong as apposed to DIPA.

Keg at Brighton Bier Haus. It pours crazy cloudy milky gold with a bubbly white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, pine needles, green, doughy white bread, creamy, grapefruit and a touch of stone fruits. The taste is dry, bitter, green, piney fresh, floury bread, grapefruit, straw, grass, some greenness and a nip of of spice with a firmly dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Fresh, well rounded and flavoursome. Nice work.

Creamy head and cloudy copper. Lots of peach and apricot on the nose. Flavour is crisp bread and soft peach fruity notes. Finish is a little watery. Okay ale.

Can picked up at Freshfields Market, Croydon. It pours lightly hazy yellow with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet, ripe stone fruits, nectarine, tangerine, peach, touch of marmalade, orange squash, cracker, grass and floral notes. The taste is crisp, clean, rather bitter, straw, grass, herbal, rawness, pithy citrus, soapy lemon, bitter orange, peppery spice, soda water and floral notes with a firmly dry finish. Light body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Interesting stuff, but perhaps it doesnt have enough body for the level of bitterness.

Cask handpull at The Ragged Trousers Tunbridge Wells, Clear russet colour lasting beige head. Perfumed hop aroma and flavour. Meant to be a red ale. Yes it has some malt sweetness. It's OK just not good condition and the red amber malts are a bit astringent or the hop is. Anyway it's all a bit harsh.

Can sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks Lior D. Cloudy yellow. Slightly stale citric hops, sweetish bready malt, bitter finish. OK.

Cask @ The Salopian Bar. Pours black, small tan head. Roast nose. Taste has nice roast dry stout character, some faint bitter chocolate, earthy coffee. Good stuff.

Keg @ Shuffledog, Leeds. Brewdog Collabfest ale 2017. It has more coffee than sugars, but a candy sweetness does develop later. There’s no sticky-sweetness in its texture and is a very easy-drinking dark ale. There’s not much in its nose, but has a fair number of hops.
