Established in 2011 and commenced in 2013 brewing using Kemptown Brewery equipment. We moved to our own premises in Brighton in early 2015. We love cask beer and recognise its importance within UK beer culture. We respect the historic importance of German and Belgian brewers. We embrace the attitude, ingredients and flavour profiles of modern progressive beer styles and breweries from North America and beyond.

Ceased trading June 2025. The related venues remained in business.

Brighton Freshman NE IPA Cloudy light gold, juicy apricot and stone fruit bouquet. Medium to light bodied with fresh lime, mint and juicy citrus. Good stuff but tame compared to most NEIPAs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from brewery. Gorgeous smell and taste but similar to other Brighton beers, a lot of pine clinginess .

Tap at Bier Haus, Brighton. LOADS of wood flavour here, like eating a spruce tree. Juicy looking and tasting. Too clingy fo rmy liking but nice.

Tap at Bier Haus, Brighton. A delicious sessioned american pale. Another beer from them with a very intense pine flavour, clingy feeling. Can from the Bier Haus had two month later at home. Just fantastic. A delight to drink. Up there with my favourite sessions. 3.8 to 4.1. Re-rated, can 3 month later. Same applicable. Old hop ending is well managed mostly. 4.1 to 4.

Tap at the Bier Haus, Brighton. Without a doubt the best session IPA i have drunk. It is absolutely divine. It has the perfect balance of the hops,the bitterness, the smoothness. Delightful refreshing beer. ---- Re/rated at Bottle Grove Eastbourne. A delightful beer with a strong sting in the tail for a low abv beer. LOVE IT. 4.3 to 4.2. --- Rerated at The West Tap, Brighton. A well hopped, fresh and spicy pine tatse. Nice in the warm sun. A little.bit too sickly bitter tho..4.2 to 3.8

Draft @ BrewDog, Malmö. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty caramel and milk chocolate aroma. Roasted malty milk chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty milk chocolate finish.

Cask gravity at Firkin Alehouse Folkestone. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. I mean someone forgot to finish this beer. Its like straight out of the conditioning tank and not conditioned. Ok unfined. Bit this isnt finished. Good fruity hops though.

On tap at Brighton Bierhaus, Brighton on our birthday week, Saturday 18th November 2017 Pours murky yellow with a slim white head. This is a really hoppy beer, resiny, juicy but a little creamy edge, fresh, green, zappy hops wonderful bitterness, looks like a NEIPA but drinks much better. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov16 3.8

On tap at Brighton Bierhaus, Brighton on our birthday week, Saturday 18th November 2017 Pours gold with a good sized white head and a little haze. A decent little session IPA, a bit dry a little bit of soapyness comes through but does not detract from it being a good beer. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

On tap at Brighton Bierhaus, Brighton on our birthday week, Saturday 18th November 2017 Black in colour with cappuccino colour head. Quite a lot of lactose, milky sweetness but there is a little camp coffee and sweet liquorice, it's soft in the mouth. Good, actually very good. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8
