Description
Established in 2011 and commenced in 2013 brewing using Kemptown Brewery equipment. We moved to our own premises in Brighton in early 2015. We love cask beer and recognise its importance within UK beer culture. We respect the historic importance of German and Belgian brewers. We embrace the attitude, ingredients and flavour profiles of modern progressive beer styles and breweries from North America and beyond.

Ceased trading June 2025. The related venues remained in business.

On cask at Brighton Bierhaus, pours a clear dull amber, tiny white head. Aroma brings out dry bready malt, bit of a stale quality. Flavour is rather dull even for the style, with old, earthy malt and some astringent bitterness on the finish. A bit rough and uncoordinated but not a disaster.

On tap at Brighton Bierhaus, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle grass and a touch of biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp, with spicy grassy hops and crisp crackery malt. Decent hopped, clean and crisp. Must've fixed the issues other raters noticed (or they're just idiots), as this is well-made.
