Cask at CBR 2014. It pours near black with a small beige head. The nose is roasted malt, cocoa, earth, wood, caramel and wood. The taste is roasted malt, toast, aniseed, earth, varnish, wood and light ash with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good depth. Pretty tasty.

Cask at CBR 2014. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The nose is grainy, hay, hobnobs, peach and white grape. The taste is crisp, bitter, grapefruit peel, light grain, mild astringency and some floral notes with a dry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff.

Cask at CBR 2014. It pours near black with a massive tan head. The nose is rich roasted malt, toast, earthy, citrus peel, pine and dark fruit. The taste is rich, roasty, bitter, pine, varnish, berry, alcohol twang, earth, toast and citrus peel with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Vibrant cask carbonation. Punchy and tasty, yet remains very drinkable. A great cask Black IPA.

Cask at CBR 2014. It pours clear gold with a small white head. The nose is fresh orange, tangerine, grain, earth, white bread and crackers. The taste is crisp, floral, nice bitterness, straw, grapefruit and lemon rind with a dry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. Good flavour for the abv. Nice session ale.

Cask at Westow House. It pours clear pale amber with a small white head. The nose is toasty, grain, pepper, grass, urine and grapefruit. The taste is crisp, bitter, toasted grass, pithy citrus, varnish, wood and pepper with a dry, bitter finish, Medium body and soft carbonation. Good deal of bitterness. Rather tasty stuff.

Cask at Hand in Hand. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is toasty, spice, hay, grainy and pithy citrus. The taste is earthy, spice, toasted malt, grass, faint citrus and wood with a dry, bitter finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Fairly uneventful, but there is a good level of bitterness. Alright.

Cask at the Hand in Hand. It pours black with a small tan head. The nose is soft, fruity, berry, roasty, toast and cocoa. The taste is smooth roast, mild acidity, plum, black grape, prune, berry and jam with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Well rounded. A quaffable fruity porter.

Cask (handpump) @ EBF14 2013, 14th Egham Beer Festival, Egham United Services Club (EUSC), 111 Spring Rise, Egham, Surrey, England TW20 9PE.Clear medium to dark orange amber color with a average to large, open and frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, candy, toffee, light to moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, fruity. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, hoppy, fruity, candy, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130330]

Cask gravity @Beer Rebellion. It pours black with a small tan head. The nose is smooth, unctuous smokiness, roasty, light bacon frazzle and some peppery notes. The taste is smooth, roasted malt earth, toast, smoke, treacle, coffee and mild acidity with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Smells pretty amazing. Smooth, balanced and very drinkable. One of Brighton Bier’s best.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, maple syrup. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet candy, sweet malt, roasted, maple. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130328]
