Cask at many pubs in the Midlands. This is one of my favourite ales and thankfully it's widely available in my part of the world. It's a lovely amber pour, decent head, but surprisingly little lacing. Light aroma, nicely hoppy palate and oh so smooth. It goes down so well. UBU drinkers can easily be spotted by the smile on their face. That's no surprise! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brown 500ml bottle, best before 2nd June 2009 drank on my Pale Ale tasting day, late April 2009. Poured into a UK pint sleeve glass. A slightly hazy, fairly dull golden yellow liquid filled the glass, a white, firm foaming head sat on top, a few bubbles could be seen rising through the beer to settle on the underside of the head. The head thinned out a bit quick but it looked fine at the start of the tasting. Good hoppy aroma (Cascade and Willamette), with a hint of a floral, apple blossom smell coming through as the beer warmed in the glass. The taste was crisp, sharp and a bitter hoppy dryness, the bitterness coming from the third hops used (Hallertau). The body was a bit thin, and the 5% alcohol content is hard to find. Having said that, it does go down very well and this brewery is fast becoming one I look for when visiting new beer stores and bars.

Bottle, from trade with Rasmus40. It pours a clear, golden body under a dense, finger thick off-white head. The aroma is citrusy and generic fruity, with some biscuit maltyness in the back. The flavor has a nice bitterness, with biscuity maltyness in the back. Fruityness, citrus peel, some orange and a little touch of green pinecones. Medium body and pleasant carbonation, with mostly bitterness in the end. A quite pleasant one, easy drinkable and tasteful. 120405

Amber...clear..thin white head...good lacing
Aroma of citrus hops..grapefruit...sweet pale malts..bit of orange zest
Taste of citrus and grass hops....sweet light malts...again some zest
Palatee...soft carb...thin body..bitter hops in the middle. Finish - rather dry...bit mouth puckering...rather lingering...after a while the finish gets sweeter.
Overall - Good golden ale in good condition - nice flavours.

Bottle at home, 30th December 2011. Pours nicely reasonable clean white head, lacing on the glass. Aroma is light bit of caramel, yeast, bready, slight grapefruit. Looks good in the glass, clear and clean, carbonation is moderate, about right for the style. Flavour is good and clean, feels thin and lacking depth perhaps, easy drinking though.
