Dobre piwo Ale. Zapach intensywny głównie aromatów chmielowych, polne kwiaty i wyschnięta trawa. Takie mysli nasuwają mi się na pierwsze skojarzenie. W smaku dominują same chmiele. Wyczułem przynajmniej dwa. Goryczka wytrawna i aromatyczna. Finisz umiarkowanie gożki. Na minus tylko mała piana. Ogólnie polecam

Cask at the Bulls Head, Barston, Solihull. Clear amber pour with a big frothy head, typical of an English bitter. The hops are very evident in the aroma which isn’t overpowering. For me, this beer is as close as you can get to the perfect English pint. The bitterness is refreshing, smooth and well handled. It sits nicely on the palate just to remind you it’s still there for just the right period of time. At 4.7% it’s the right ABV to qualify as a great session ale and good for hot summer days or cold winter nights. It’s well-kept ales like this that make me miss my homeland more than is good for me and hastens my eventual return. I only wished that Purity would expand their small range of excellent ales.

On tap @ the Haymarket Bar. Pours golden as expected with a nice frothy head. The nose has a creamy meadowsweet note and the taste confirms this and in fact there is a note that approaches custard. The palate is light to medium in structure and texture with a zingy finish. Overall, nice ale.

On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours golden with a slight haze and a nicely proportioned head. The nose has grapefruit and pine. The taste is just wall to wall grapefruit. The palate is medium bodied and creamily textured with a tangy fresh finish. Overall, the grapefruit aspect is a little one-dimensional but it’s well executed.

Light amber color, creamy head. Light aroma. The flavor has some light malt, and light bread trace; light caramel too makes it just a bit better than other simplistic Ales; it has a light British fruitiness too; the final is just too bitter, with light metallic note.

Cask at the The Sun Inn Summer Beer Festival, Kelvedon. Hazy orange amber beer, some floaters! Dry palate. Fresh marmaladey orange. Bare whisper of bubblegum. Dry finish.

Brown 500ml bottle, best before 27th Apr 2009, drank 10 Mar 2009. Poured into an ’Old Speckled Hen’ vase shaped pint glass. Looked like a Lager/Pilsner, Pure Gold by name and looks it would seem. Good English beery smell, hops and barley mixing togethr like they should. A sweetness is present but not enough to turn the aroma sickly, just a hint of summer gardens and flowers. English Maris Otter and Cara Gold malts, hence the clour, the blend of Northern Brewer, Fuggles, Hereford Goldings and Styrian Goldings Hops ensure the taste follows the aroma to give a truely English feel to the taste and drinkability. The label goes on to say it has dry, bitter notes, it certainly does and it does it very well. I am rapidly likeing this breweries products. The body is solid for a 4.3% bitter and it has a lot more flavour than the colour suggests. This is one very well balanced beer and very easy to drink. Pity I couldn’t get the head to stay on the beer as I drank it.
