Slightly hazy pale gold with a bubbly white head and a tocuh of grain and light malt on the nose. Light bodied with a sweetish taste, I’m sensing figs maybe, and a hint of funk in the finish. [Shrewsbury CAMRA Beer Festival 2022]

Draft at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour. The aroma is grainy malt, popcorn, diacetyl. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, grainy malt, mineral, earthy, yeasty, floral, boozy alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. The bar initially refused to serve me a half pint, saying that because it was 7.5% they could only serve 2/3 of a pint! Glad that misunderstanding was quickly resolved. Super dry and boozy. No fruit of any note. A little unbalanced. Not particularly enjoyable. Would not buy again.
