Cask at the Brewhouse, Lye. Pours dark orange with a small head. Aroma is bready malt. Slightly acrid. Taste is bready and minerally with some stone fruit on the finish.

Handpull cask at the Parcel Yard, Leicester. Bright gold, clear with a thin white head and a bit of scummy lacing. Some light fruity honeyed notes in the aroma but there's also the harshness of slightly off butter. Not a bad taste, sweetish without being overly so. There's a bitterness in the aftertaste but I'm not really detecting much hop presence. A bit of caramel in the aftertaste. A substandard golden more than a lager.

500ml bottle with the food at Saffrons Bistro in Worcester. Late straw coloured body, spotty lacing from a dissipating white head. Leafy hops on the nose, mid-sweet. Mixed flavours of earthy malts and leafy hops. Ends dry and bittersweet. Medium bodied. Like it. (07.07.2018).

Cask at the Pump House, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a clear yellow golden colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is gluey malt, dry hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light grainy malt, light pepper spice, dry hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish.

500ml bottle bought at B&M Bargains. Pours clear cola colour with hardly any head. Aroma: sweet-ish, roasted malts, light smoke. Taste: roasted malts, oats, vanilla, a little chocolate & coffee, dark fruits, earthy hop. Light to medium bodied, very light carb, dry bitter finish.

500ml bottle from local shop. Pale golden yellow colour, white foamy head leaving some lacing and aroma of citrus, malt & grains. Taste is sweetish malt, grainy, fruity with citrusy notes and grassy bitterness. Light bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry cardboardy bitter finish. OK.
