Poured a crystal clear light yellow colour with a think broken white head. The aroma is rather strong and is fruity with hints of caramel. The flavour is bitter, fruity, a little malty and hoppy. It’s an ideal summer session ale and the bitterness is nicely balanced to deliver a very refreshing beer.

Poured a clear golden brown with a thick white head and broken lace. The aroma is rich and with hints of citrus. The flavour is bitter and fruity with treacle and toffee notes too. The bitterness hits the palate and stays there for a while for a more refreshing flavour. A very satisfying and flavour packed session beer.

Cask at JDW Bishop Vesey; pours dark brown thin white head, slight coffee aroma, taste is bitter with dark chocolate, with a hint of coffee.

Bottle from M&S. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grass and green tea. Flavour of herbs, digestive and pear. Thin body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. A light, simple beer.

Bottle from Co-op Erdington; pours dark black small beige head, chocolate aroma, tastes is predominately chocolate with some plums hint of vanilla roast malts quite thin mouthfeel, but overall a decent inexpensive stout.

Cask-conditioned at the Victoria, Clifton Lido, Bristol 1/11/2012. Deep amber with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish, caramel and beery fruit aroma with a hint of spice. Flavour was sweet and malty with a gently bitter finish. Ok.

Cask (handpump) @ The New Oxford, 11 Bexley Sq, Salford, Manchester, England M3 6DB.Clear medium orange colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, apple. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, warm sweet, honey notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat flat. [20120120]

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Festival 2012. Clear reddish brown pour with a thin broken white head. There was very little in the aroma and the flavour wasn't complex either! There was some bitterness but I hardly got the pumpkin or anything else really. It's only brewed once a year for Halloween and I can live with that! Fine to drink occasionally, but not a classic.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Festival 2012. Clear yellow straw pour with a big white head. Massive hop aroma that almost knocks you off your feet. The ale was surprisingly rich and smooth on the palate. The flavour is all about the Citra, Amarillo and Chinook hops with lots of lingering dry bitterness too. The ABV is 8%, but its well controlled and doesn't burn at all. These guys at Sadlers sure know how to hop!
