330ml can bought at Gulating Ølutsalg in Tromsdalen. Shared with Frau Eva. Covering white head, scattered lacing, clear pale golden body. Subdued aromas of pale malts, grassy. Mixed taste of dusty hops and pale malts. Short tail with noticeable bitterness. Drinkable, and okay with our pizza outside at the balcony. (Tromsø, 16.06.2024).

500ml can bought at Gulating Ølutsalg in Tromsdalen. Shared with friends. Pearl white head over a near-clear, dark golden coloured body, fragile lacing. Moderate grainy malts on the nose. Mixed taste taste grassy hops and grain, mid-sweet. Discreet malt-fruity end. Clean on the palate. Easy going. (Tromsø, 15.06.2024).

Rerate May 2024, 500 ml can from Kiwi Tau: Crystal clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and newmown grass. Light bodied, but a bit too sweet flavour, moderate bitterness. Berentsens have better beers than this one.
Original rating, May 2004: (330 ml bottle). Typical fizzy pale Norwegian "sommerøl / summer beer". Maybe slightly sweeter and a tad maltier than most of our "sommerøl" - a pale lager style which is the work of the devil, aimed at people who think (or are fooled into thinking) that an ordinary pilsener would be too heavy (sic!) for them on a warm summer’s day. Oh well ... I will rerate when they actually have started brewing this beer in Egersund, but I don’t expect too much - style considered.

Shared can at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours clear golden with white head. Aroma of bread, cookies, notes of floral hops. Tastes slightly sweet with balancing bitterness. Medium bodied, long well balanced aftertaste. This is a good one, but definitely not a pilsner, as the label says, rather a Helles Bock.

Can. A clear, golden colored beer with a small white head. The aroma is quite malty, lighlty alcoholic like a typical strong pilsner, with yellow apple, grains and bread. Some corn-like notes too, along with grass and a spiced hint. It's full-bodied, very lightly warming and softly carbonated, with a gentle carbonation. Corn, yellow apple, grass and hay in the flavor, with bread hints and a very light spiced and alcoholic touch. A decent strong pilsner, not a beer I'll repeat though. 240421
