(bottle) Clear pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head. Grassy aroma of cheap hop(extract) with a moderate malt sweetness. Medium bitter flavour, light to medium body, ok carbonation. Malty and grainy taste with hops, slightly soapy and bitter grassy and malty finish.

0.5l can (exactly like the one on the pic. Joris, I found out who does. Well, it didn’t take a lot of searching. It’s indeed brewed FOR the Goldhand Vertriebsgesellschaft in Düsseldorf, it says so on the can, and someone could mistake it for the brewer, but a few lines under, the real "culprit" is revealed - Frankenthaler Brauhaus Gmbh (Frankenthal/Platz). I’ve sent the corrections (along with the 4.9>4.7 alc% mistake).. To the beer. It looks very good. A big thick white head that left tons of lacing stood atop of a beautiful deep golden liquid. The nose was immediately a letdown though. Slightly skunky (can!), sourish nose with some hints of malt. The aforementioned malt showed itself a lot. Perhaps a lot more than it should have because it overshadowed everything else that might be here. And it’s not great, caramelly, like croquant maybe, but not too nice, shows some traces of the taste reserved for the n/a’s - cabbage. And the taste overall was even watery. Hops could be only detected for a second in the aftertaste as some lemony sourness that found its way to my senses of taste right before the beer found its way down my throat and clung onto them as the rest of the taste disappeared. All in all, interesting effort, but not that good.

0.5l can, found in a supermarket in Zagreb (ozujsko’s tip). I used to detest the idea of "hefe-in-a-can", and because of that, I missed some in Spain I shouldnt’ve. Ah, well. It poured a big thick white head that went away slowly. Deep dark orange/brown colour that was completely hazy (drank from a tulip (!), so it might be a little lighter in a "proper" glass. The nose is great; bananas, lemon, spices, and so’s the taste - banana, bubblegum, lemon, some cloves. Yes, we would have a true hidden gem here, if not for the fact that it lacks some body. With more body, it would be truly special. Oh, right, and it’s brewed by the Frankenthaler Brauhaus.

Fully clear darker gold, big bubbles; huge head, very fast gone leaving lace. Chalky, musty nose, with hay. Quite bitter for a short moment, then pale malt-sweet. Very little palate, but a tinge of metallic bitterness, returning to quite bitter in the long aftertaste. Certainly not bad, considering it comes out of a can. Yet, another pilsener. I bet the Vertriebgesellschaft doesn't brew - but who does for them?
