Deep amber with a frothy / creamy off-white head and a lovely malt and hop aroma. Smooth and fresh with an almost spicy kick, malt and fruit cake with hop bitterness and a dry finish.
The Derby, Kennington

Cask at the Duke of St Albans, Highgate on 4th August 2025. Copper shallow tan foam and full lacing. Rich malty aroma. Hazelnut nuttiness in-mouth with herbal grasses. Bitter grassy finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Can from the brewery shop, Lewes. Ticks the necessary pale ale boxes with enough hop to get by but it comes across as too close to a bitter in the ending. Percentage shows sadly.
