Description
Brouwerij Den Hopperd is a small independent brewery specialized in organic beer. All our beers are brewed and bottled in our own brewery. Owner Bart Desaeger attended the brewery school in Ghent. In 1996 the first own beer was brewed. From 1999 onwards Bart has opted to produce organic beers only.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at One Pint on 2008-05-31) Dark ruby red. Hazy. Malts and some hops in nose, Small white dense taste. Full and dry palate. Chocolate in taste and some hops, malts and caramell, too.

Bottled. An unclear orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of spices and fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of spices and fruit.

Cloduy golden with large white head. Sweet and yeasty aroma with notes spices and orange peel. Sweet fruity flavor with notes of yeast, ripe fruits, and coriander. End rather dry and mild bitter from the floral hops.

33 cL bottle. Pours almost clear yellow with a lacing white head. Light spiced and yeasty aroma. Flavour is smooth yeasty and light spiced. Ends with a smooth caramel malt with a light yeasty note. Smooth and yeasty note continuing into the finish.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear, deep amber golden with a dense, beige head leaving some laces. Aroma of Port and overripe fruit. Medium body with accents of overripe fruit, yeast, burned caramel and some phenols. No real bitterness. 160408

33 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy brown with a fully diminished off-white head. Light spiced and caramel malt with a light yeast note. Mild caramel malt and with a light chocolate note into the far finish. Light bitterness and spiced flavour into the far finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lasting white head. Pea like aroma and light spiced. Flavour is is light vegetable like. Fizzy mouthfeel. Light vegetable finish with a light yeasty note. Light acidic/citric note.
