500ml bottle - Okay, to start this looks dreadful. It looks like a murky pint of flat Pepsi, black and lifeless. The aroma picks things up a bit, a decent smokiness, black roasted coffee, roasted malts. The first sip is thin, a little of the smoke and coffee come through, but it seems a bit... dull. Second attempt, I’m getting a bit of a finish, nothing unpleasant, just like a cheap bar of dark chocolate. I was hoping for better, but sadly you can’t have everything.

500ml bottle - a dull looking Coca-Cola look to this one, black and no head... at all. Minimal carbonation gives it a light texture in the mouth, with the toasted coconut coming through halfway through. Very chocolatey and smoky in both the nose and first taste, with a sweetness easing the drink through. Not bad, but looks crap.
