Draught@HBF2009. Hazy amber color, no head. Sweet baking yeast (like Mufloni Sahti few years ago), crasberry - strawberry aroma. Sweet baking yeasty and strawberry flavoured. Not sourness at all. Flat. Not a big success.

(Draught at St. Urho’s Pub Sahti Days ’09) Dark brown and cloudy. Small white head. Malts and banana in aroma. Full bodied palate with medium carbonation. Banana, malts, bitterness, fruitiness, sweetness, lightly chocolate and tar in taste. Sweet aftertaste.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Very dark brown, small head. Evident aroma of tar pastilles. Dryish and dense, medium bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Lots of tar and salmiac. Rubbery very bitter finish. Intense and interesting, but I’m not wholeheartedly convinced.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of oh6gdx. Pours a clear dark brown with a reddish hue and a small, rough beige head. Distinctly smoked, tar-like aroma. Medium body, some burned malt but otherwise completely dominated by fat and tar-like smoke accents. Fairly bitter finish. I didn’t find the smoke in this one all too pleasant. 210309

Bottle. Very smoky aroma, strange bonfire. Almost black colour, seems clear. The flavour is very smoky, there is some salami and ham in there. Some muddy yeast underneath, making it less enjoyable.

33 cL hand bottle. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Solid salami and roasted malty aroma. Leathery and dry. Flavour has the same smoked note from back of the nose yet the base flavour is mild winous and fruity grape flavoured. Mild flavoured yet with a strong aroma component. One of a kind.

Draught (St Urho’s, Helsinki) - Very dark, almost black in colour. Coffee and slightly fruity aroma with some plain chocolate. Fairly rich taste, with hops, coffee and chocolate.

(Draugh at St Urho’s Porter Days ’09) Black. Small tan coloured head. Hint of vanilla, sweetness and roastedness in aroma. Full bodied and bit dry palate with little carbonation. Chocolate, roastedness, hint of vanilla, bit of coffee, some metallic flavours and bitterness in taste. Roastedness and bitterness in bit watery aftertaste.

Bottled@Beer Hunters, Pori. Hazy golden colour, small white head. Quite sweet hops, malts and some cooked vegetables. Flavour is hops, quite malty and also has a lot of mildly bready-doughy notes. Not very pleasant.

Bottled (BB 03/2009). Hazy golden color, small white head. Yeasty, a bit grainy-malty nose. Nice bready-hoppy flavor. Personal touch in otherwise standard easy to drink - session pale lager. The first below 5% from Beer Hunters.
