Can sample at a tasting at Alexey’s place. Thanks Max. Clear golden with a white head. Rather neutral aroma with grains and a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor, grainy, with alcohol. Could be worse.

Tap at vegan restaurant Strasbourg served in a little boot. Clear amber with small off white head. Lots of caramel, Christmas spices, orange, light plums, light roasted malts. Quite sweet with soft bitter finish. Medium bodied with a bit watery feel. Quite standard French Christmas beer, Not bad.

Mom brought this one back from a trip to France. +++ Sampled from a 500 ml can this beer poured a very dark brown color - almost black - with orange highlights and a large creamy-soapy tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweetish, malty and toasty with anise, dark fruit, malted milk and cream. Medium length finish. Medium body and smooth. Meh.

Bouteille(0.25l, Merci, Lac de Constance!):Golden, a bit hazy, mid-sized white creamy head; sweetish corny nose, molecular traces of herbal hops in the background; mild sweetish flavour, low bitterness, light bodied and a bit sticky; increasing - but still mild - bitterness in the all in all short and watery finish. Boring…

Bottle @ home. Nice dark red to red-brown color, medium to full sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, some sweetness, a bit metallic, some hint of caramel and brown sugar. Average body and carbonation. Meh, don’t really like it.

50 cl. can @ home, bought @ Netto, Givet. Clear golden with a white head. Grainy aroma. Sweet metallic taste. Some alcohol burn sensations in the finish but not horribly so.
