The brewery was founded in 1845 by Henri Schweickhardt in Saverne. In 1989, the German Karlsberg Group acquired the company.

The French subsidiary focuses on brands it supplies internationally to major wholesalers throughout Europe in innovative shipping and packaging units.

Deep blond color; eggwhite head. Balanced, and the oily feeling is very limited; higher bitterness and less alcohol presence than other Strong lagers; therefore, not the worst one.

Pale blond color. Paper aroma; dry mouthfeel, cereals flavor, overly bitter at the end. Bad.

Blond color. Paper aroma and paper flavor, light wet cereals and vanilla. Very bad.

Can. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel. Thanks yespr for sharing.

50 cL can. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is cornish and grassy. Bitter, syrupy and cornish flavoured. Bitter and dry finish.

(bottle, 25cl) Slightly hazy, amber colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet and slightly dusty cara-malty aroma with a citric, slightly ascorbic fruity touch and slightly woody hops. Sweet and slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slim (cara-)malty base with citric and herbal notes; slim sweet-bitter finish with herbal and slightly fruity aroma hops. Not bad. 07.I.10

can, Auchan Illkirch-Graffenstaden. Clear golden colour with a brown touch, mid-sized beige head. Aroma of... nothing. Slightly malty and hoppy, sweet touch, nothing remarkable here.

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, sugar, toffee and butter notes, light hoppy, light yeasty, spicy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, a dry and peppery finish. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20091115]

Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, cabbage water, green grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20091114]
