Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a dark brown color with a reddish hue and a large fluffy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was toasty malts and some nut. The flavor was coconut, wood, nut, dryish malts and a bit of bourbon. Medium length coconut and bourbon finish. Medium body. Tasty.

Tap, industry public house. Nitro. Sweet mild cotton candy perfume aroma, whew. Creamy head. Flat of course. Perfume carries over tot he taste, intensely. Unique fer sure. Flowers in the finish. Tastes like I’m licking the neck of a girl who’s just put perfume on her neck.

On tap at bowser’s. As I remember, yes, quite different than the first dunkel from pour house monroeville back in ’08. This is dark, but not black. Big giant foamy creamy head off the tap, whew. Slight sweet aroma. Initially its not as smooth as most dunkels I’ve had but it does have a tad of bitter earthiness in there. Yes, something like hop bitter never subsides and constantly reminds me this is not really smooth, but enjoyable, nevertheless.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a dark brown color with orange highlights and a large foamy tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was boozy with sweet fruits and toasty malts. The flavor was bitter with a somewhat harsh fruity hop note, tobacco, caramel a bit of astringency and moderate booziness. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Ok.

Listed as a lager. OK, so it is a california (lower case) common. On tap @ patricks pub. Darker than most lagers. Sweet nose. First taste is a little bit of Pittsburgh slag. Then i think i feel some odd spice in there as well. In the end, hard to say this is a lager, heheh.

Looks like an IPA. Lacks any real hop aroma. Some co2 is present. Wet hops did not make this overly hoppy like an IPA, instead its a decent APA with some threads of fresh, almost enjoyable hops. Fell is civilized and balanced. i didn’t think I’d like thois but it wasn’t bad.

Sampled in draft at Crave this beer poured a dark copper color with a medium sized fluffy white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was dryish, fruity and perfumey. The flavor was slightly better with perfume and fruity hops. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky peach-tan color with a medium sized foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet with an enormous fruity hop presence followed by orange, tropical fruit and table sugar. The flavor was sweet with a strong table sugar element followed by pine, orange, lemon, pineapple, pear and a bit of caramel and yeast underneath. Amazingly long finish. A bit of alcohol comes through but really it is well controlled for 11%. Full bodied. Outstanding!!
