Not overly blueberry, which is good, though lacks elsewhere. Not particularly hoppy, slight malt presence. Kind of flat.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a very dark brown color - almost black - with a medium sized fluffy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was toasty, roasty, malty and woody. The flavor was roasty and toasty with a touch of smoke, vague berries and a hint of hot pepper. Long roasty malt and berry finish. Medium body. Ok.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky apricot-tan color with a medium sized foamy off-white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was tart, sour, citric and had a hint of smoke. The flavor was tart and astringent with notes of citric acid and wood smoke. Long citric acid and wood smoke finish. Medium bodied. Pleasant and refreshing.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a mostly dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Sly messy lace.
The aroma had some sweet caramel/toffee malts up front with a balancing sweet and woody coconut smell coming in with a little bit of toast and dark fruits.
The flavor was moderately sweet with an ample dryness and nuts coming in to blend fairly nice. Aftertaste leaned towards the caramel/toffee malts but super light. Not much of a finish, seemed somewhat nutty.
The palate was about medium bodied, perhaps a touch under with a fairly good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, I dig the idea of putting coconut in a brown ale and wouldn’t mind having this again if I could get it.

Overall, pretty good brown ale that I could come back to.

Sampled on draft at House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a dark golden color with a medium sized creamy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was tart juniper, honey and golden fruits. The flavor was herbal and slightly bitter with strong honey, juniper and a touch of medicine at the end. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.
