Draft at De Heeren van Liedekercke. Hazy dark pink color, off white head. Aroma of plums, raisins, cherries, green apples. Taste is sour applesauce and red plums. Definitley not a pale lager, but also not an Easter beer. Tasty anyway, regardless of what it is.

Has a very, clean, minerally taste. Exceptionally fresh in the mouth. An easy to drink Tripel but lacks depth of flavour.

(bottle, 33cl, as Drongens Plezierke, 7.5% abv, bought at Willems, Grobbendonk) Cloudy, dark amber to brown colour with a mid-sized tanned foamy head. Moderately sweet, slightly cara-malty aroma with notes of citrus and spicy, nettle-like hops. Mildly sweet flavour with a tinge of bitterness, medium bodied with a pleasantly carbonated mouthfeel. Malty, slightly caramelly taste with underlying citrus-fruity and mildly spicy accents; moderately sweet and slightly bitter finish with fruity and spicy hops. Pleasant. 21.III.11

Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with lots of little dark chunks and a medium sized foamy beige head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was very faint sugar, plum and nougat. The flavor was yeasty with notes of almond nougat, faint tart cherry and pears and a touch of wood and perfume. Medium finish and medium body. Ok.

Bottle. Murky dark brown with a beige head that settles to a thick coat. Aroma of dough, brown sugar, citrus, slight vinegar, herbs. Really quite watery. A little sugary sweetness, plums and yeast, then some vinegar and quite medicinal herbs. Ends dry and slightly astringent. Interesting beer - quite liked the sour and herbal elements but a bit distractingly watery.

Bottle, Drongens Plezierke. Vinous raisin and plum aroma. Light chocolate and wood. Hazy red, creamy off-white layer. Dry minerally yeast edges, raisins, wood, orangepeel notes. Dry mouthfeel, sparkly, medium body. Light caramel aftertaste. Well balanced and tasty and surprisingly fresh for a Dubbel. Thanks Pivnizub!
