Bottle at Chriso FullersGales tasting. Crystal clear red and a pink head. Cough syrupy kiddie sweet. Its really comedic. Terrible. Some chalk. Not good awful artificial fruit

Bottle in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. Pours clear, deep red with a fine, slightly pink head. Fruity aroma of sweet winter berries and bready malts. Medium sweet flavor, some lightly cloying berry sweetness, sweet bread, light herbal bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Slightly sticky, medicinal finish, mild bitterness, some dark sugars, herbs. Kind of artificial tasting. Not a great beer overall, but nice to see a Bulgarian brewery jumping on the ’Limited Edition’ bandwagon. Update: Had some more at the chriso Vintage Tasting. The beer looks great but tastes not great. 2.8

Bottle thanks to Leighton. Chestnut clear colour with lasting beige head. Some earthy toffee on the aroma. Sometimes these beers can be a little stale in the malts, but this is ok. Decent nuttiness to the malts. Some nuttiness on finish. Rather decent and clearly the best beer I’ve had from Bulgaria, so thanks Leighton, this was decent.
