Lots of yeasty residue in the neck and cap as if it was stored on its side (not by me). Dark brown and murky with quick fading head. Quite a mature, woody, earthy aroma. Malt heavy. Fairly sweet like a strong, malty Old Ale but with Belgian undertones of caramelised banana. Full bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Looks terrible but tastes good.

Bottle at Troquet des Kneckes. Slight hazy dark brown with small beige head. Roasted malts, toffee, brown sugar, chestnuts, raisins, light yeasty, dry leaves, soft alcohol. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. It's alright, which is pretty good for an Uberach beer, though it does have a little of their unpleasant yeasty notes.

Pours dirty brown with a frothy head. Aroma of caramel and hazelnut. A touch sulfuric. The above average carbonation for this style is somewhat jarring and works at odds with a nutty, toffee sweetness that demands a softer palate. Stays fairly sweet throughout with a touch of mineralic bitterness at the end. Flawed but not unpleasant.

Tap at Café Atlantico in Strasbourg. Hazy golden with not much head. Ginger, light herbs, sweet malts, flowery, light yeast, orange, rosewater. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with sparkly carbonation. Not too bad for an Uberach beer.
