Bottle @ Anti-carnaval Tasting. Clear reddish color, medium sized white to off-white head. Aroma is malts, sticky resinous hops. Taste malts, hops, sticky resinous piney hops, heavy sweet, sweet sticky hops, medium bitter. Medium body and carbonation. A bit too much barley wine-ish, but otherwise decent.

Bottle @ anti-carnaval tasting. Amber colour with a small off-white head. Smells sweet, barley wine. Tastes sweet, sticky sweet, malty. Full body, soft carbo.

22oz bottle from notes pours out a dark amber topped with a sand head. Nose is lots of spice typically Christmas notes nutmeg cinnamon. Taste is Christmas in your mouth lots of spice and rich malts.

Bottle 22fl.oz. [ As Bootleggers Mint Chocolate Porter ].Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, chocolate, dark malt, mint, light to moderate roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, chocolate, mint spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160903] 7-3-7-3-13

12oz bottle at my Son-in-Laws (California) on 25th Jan 2017. Very dark, OK, it’s black; difficult to get any sort of head, even when I poured robustly. Mint aroma and initial taste, the dark chocolate bit creeps in a little later. I was supposed to share the bottle, but my Son-in-Law is not one for trying different beers and after one sip gave me his half of the bottle. Interesting beer, but the one small bottle is enough for me.

Bottle. Buttery toffee malt, light alcohol, and fresh hay aroma. Dark amber with moderate head. Moderately sweet nutty toffee malt and moderately bitter quinine/fresh hay flavor. Good body - finishes a bit boozy.

Bottle. Orange, pineapple, peach, caramel malt, and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Moderately sweet tropical fruit, caramel malt, and moderately strong bitter grapefruit peel/pine flavor. Good body. Very solid.

Huge, thick beige head over virtually black beer. Chocolate, bit of coffee. Voluminous head hampers the perception. Bit earthy, also paint, autumn leaf, toffee. Chocolate, mocha, coffee, spicy. Chilliheat arrives nearly as an afterthought, but keeps hanging after a while. Faintly smoked, capsicum. Seems well-bodied for a relatively light stout. Very well-carbonated. Not bad, drinkable despite the chilli.

Sehr minziger Geruch. Spritzig, im Antrunk ist Minze erkennbar, das Malz gerät in den Hintergrund. Geringe Bitterkeit. Aufdringlich. 10/8/9/8/10/8

Bottle: Nearly clear, dark amber with a small beige head. Slightly spicy/woody caramel malt, maybe a little blood orange in the aroma? Flavour is sweet caramel malt, orange malt, a little pine with a mild citrus-peel bitter. Bright and lively...... One of the better Ambers I’ve had in a while.
