Draft at the source. Hazy pale gold, white head. Fruity nose. Taste is tart fruit, hints of lemon, touch of salt, funk. Good.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with caramel. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Pine and caramel linger with light grapefruit.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is a real nice juicy fruit with some mango and papaya. Flavor is more fruity hops, not intense as I thought it was going to be. I also get some melon and honey malt sweetness. There is no date on the can so I have no idea how fresh this is but as it is the hops are pretty decent and just starting to loss their luster.

Sample at the ’Smoked Meats and Beer’ tasting on 05/27/2017. Brown-black color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing. Charred malt, hops and chocolate in the nose. Medium body with flavors of smoked malt, piney hops and bittersweet chocolate. The finish is resiny hops and chocolate. Above average overall.

Bottle. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel aroma. Fruity malty spicy caramel flavor with weak hints of dark fruit. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish.

Bottle @ Benzai’s Crazy Carnaval 2017, 5-10 cl sample, thanks all for sharing! Almost clear orange golden color, short frothy head. Aroma is malty and "weeig", so a bit herbal. Lacks some fresh hops and, even though it might not be superfresh, is clearly focused on being a malty DIPA. Too sweet in taste for me. Meh.

van fles @Benzai’s Anti-carnaval Tasting; 66cl, 10%. helder amber/rood met geelwitte bubbels/kraag. Aroma is hoppig, graan en mout. Smaken zijn vrij moutig. hoog alcoholisch, granig, niet echt typisch een DIPA meer een US Barley Wine, wat granig-mout van karakter. --- Beer merged from original tick of Knuckle Sandwich on 18 May 2018 at 10:58 - Score: 7

Bottle @ Anti-carnaval Tasting. Clear reddish color, medium sized white to off-white head. Aroma is malts, sticky resinous hops. Taste malts, hops, sticky resinous piney hops, heavy sweet, sweet sticky hops, medium bitter. Medium body and carbonation. A bit too much barley wine-ish, but otherwise decent.
