Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Hazy orange golden color, average sized white to off-white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is resinous hops with a decent malt base. Tastes about the same: malts, resinous hops, resinous hoppy bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. I like this, but I really like resin and resinous hops. Can understand people disliking it if that’s not their thing.

Hazy deep amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy, a little soft and has reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts bring some toffee - cream. Mild caramel. Little spicy aniseed alcohol and a touch of brandy. Ripe fruits before a warming spicy finish. Decent.

The Pigs Ear wrap up tasting at ChrisO’s. Clear deep red - amber beer, thin pale head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts, some fluffy malt cream. Mild coffee. A chilli burn begins but never gets too much. Tangy dark fruits. Light semi dry finish. Just another chilli stout. Okay.

Bottle split at Chriso pre Xmas tasting, 06/12/15. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is light smoke, charr, spice, dark malts, toffee, cocoa powder, dark fruit tang. Taste comprises Chipotle, light roast malts, toffee sauce, green pepper, sweet’n’sour vibes, chocolate. Medium bodied fine to spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Ok spiced stout ... not OTT in this respect.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours clear orange-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds lots of bready malts, orange, and caramel. Medium sweet flavour with plenty of simple bread and dry caramel, some honey and ripe citrus. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish, with leafy hops, pine, bread, caramel and citrus fruits. OK stuff overall.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, off-white head. Lots of fairly dank hops in the aroma, some melon, grapefruit. Medium sweet falvour with loads more dank hop character, big on the melon, oily pine, grapefruit, some sweet pale bread. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately sweet and resinous on the finish, with mellow pine spice, sticky melon and papaya, more grapefruit. Very tasty. Quite rich, but still highly drinkable.
