50 cl bottle.Pale golden colour .Medium head . Funny aspartame flavour like the Vasold Pils. Orange notes.I have been in Neunkirchen a. Brand and the locals don’t like the beer so much. They said that used to be good but now it’s just an ordinary inexpensive lager/helles.

Grainy nose. The beer starts smooth fresh. Sweetish grainy with a nice mild graininess. Easy to drink, no bitterness with a soft sessionable grainy sweetness. Nice.

Vasold Pilsener, Flasche von REWE Wittmann, Neunkirchen a.Br. - Erst 9 Bewertungen in 12 Jahren für dieses Bier - hier habe ich es mit einer der am wenigsten bekannten Brauereien Frankens zu tun. - Goldgelb, blank. - Nase recht schmalspurig mit blassem, süßlichem hellen Malz und nur vager zitroniger Hopfenherbe. - Antrunk schlank und frisch zitronig-hopfig mit kräftiger aber ein wenig blasser Zitronenschalenherbe. Leicht künstliche Malzsüße. Wie bei süddeutschen Pilsenern üblich fällt die Rezens etwas milder aus, was ich sehr schätze. Im Abgang die etwas derbe Bittere, die Hopfenextrakt einem Bier verleiht. - Eher derb gehopft aber von süddeutscher Malzigkeit; unterm Strich nur wenig besser als ein Industriebier. (17.12.2019.)

(Bottle, 0.5 l, thanks VastActiv/TimoA, 20170707) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, molasses, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, sweet and bitter. A tasty malty brew.
