Bryggeri Helsinki. From an (official) plastic bottle, about a 6 pinter I reckon! Hazy amber beer, no head. Very modest carbonation. Nice tangy fruits, dried fruits and crystallised fruits, not that sweet. Orange, lemon and cranberry ensue. Traces of spice and herb. Light fruity tangy finish. Nice Sahti, goes down very easy.

Bottle in our somewhat shabby Helsinki apartment. Hazy deep amber beer, good peachy tan head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Perfumey spicy malts, some creamy sweetness. Floral spice, rye tang, cardomon spice. Touch of tangy lavender. Airy dry finish. Highly unusual and pretty interesting.

Bottle 0.33l at home, Nivala. BBE 12/2016. Colour is brown with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain, caramel, some sweetness, some chocolate, some alcohol and malts. Nice maltiness but small alcohol in flavour isn’t always nice.

330ml Bottle - Dark brown with some red tinges. Cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, currants and raisins in the aroma. Rye, dried fruit and spices dominate in the fruity and moderately sweet taste. Like a liquified mince pie!

33cl bottle. Poured brown in color with a thin off white head. Rye, candy sugary sweet aroma, some vanilla like notes in the back. Flavor has caramel, rye spiciness, hops, sweet bready notes. Balanced and overall a very drinkable brew. Nice.

A dark brown, a dense head is medium and beige. Aroma has strong breadyness, rye bread and sour bread, some herbs and hint of sweetness of caramel. Taste is stongly bready, toffee, some earthyness and herbs, hint of liquirice. Medium+ bodied, nicely fluffy palate. Interesting beer, strong breadyness but nicely brewed with other elements too. Positive surprise.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 12/2016, 20160212) The beer poured dark brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, sweetness and rye. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, yeast, grass, rye, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitterness. A decent brew with slightly Belgian like twist.

From my Sahti source VastActiv, so they now put this in bags however he diddnt think he could get through customs with it so poured in some traditional plastic bottle. Pours a flat brownish red with no head. Nose is tobacco, berry, and bready. Tastes of juniper, fruit punch, banana bread, menthol cigarettes, and some pecan. Chewy mouthfeel. I had the American made version of this brew on tap which seem more juniper and less menthol. Either way love me some Sahti not sure what it is about this strange brew.

Bottle 330ml (Alko)
Deep amber color, tiny off-white head. Aroma is a bit bready and caramelly. Medium-bodied. Caramel, a bit of ryeish maltyness. Some Belgian dubbels are somewhat similar and also some previous Lammin beers. Light alcoho and bread in the aftertaste. Not earthshaking but ok.
