2nd Shift Brewing has been producing some of the best beer in St. Louis since 2009. Previously located in New Haven, Missoui, 2nd Shift moved operations to the historic Hill neighborhood in St. Louis in 2016.

Pour is a thick murky blonde with a large white head. Aroma is passion fruit and guava. Flavor is various tropical fruit with a thick and chewy mouthfeel. In a wash of IPA's this one stands out because of its better than most tropical fruity hops.

2022 can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep black with a finger tan head that lingers. Loads of dark chocolate, fudge, bourbon and vanilla on the nose. Oak comes out as it warms. Full bodied, rich and decadent on the palate. Lingering bourbon vanilla and rich fudge and dark chocolate on the finish. Wow! Maybe the best BA stout I’ve had this year. The base beer is so rich and decadent. BT barrels and vanilla work well. Excellent!

12oz can c/o Anndiesel. Rugged old school true aroma. Really bold and heavy for the relatively mild ABV. Tasty, sweet, malty. Quite enjoyable, I find myself enjoying true Barleywine more and more, as it is the antithesis of all these dextrose driven beers. Really enjoyable, brings you back.

I've been known to crush some Stag's in my day. This beer pours a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is some generic pale malt with a little metal. Flavor is a semi-sweet generic lager malt with some green bitter hops. A little more body than a Stag but kind of the same malty but watery base.
