Draught @ Brauhaus Zum Alten Dessauer (Alter Dessauer), Lange Gasse 16, Dessau, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany 06844.Hazy medium red amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, licorice notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110707]

Getreidiger Geruch, der sich im Antrunk nur sehr bedingt widerspiegelt. Etwas süß, mild, eine leichte Hopfigkeit ist vorhanden. Später zeigt sich das Bier von seiner herben Seite, rückt dabei aber nicht von seiner Milde ab. Daher werden als Gegenleistung sämtliche Aromen schwächer und führen so dazu, dass die fast kümmerliche Herbe stärkstes Aroma wird. Zum Ende wieder etwas hopfiger, verhalten süß. Süfig aber eher langweilig und zum Teil monoton. 9/6/7/6/11/6

(Bottle 50 cl) Pretty golden colour with a fine head. Malty, smooth and sweetish with hops that add a pleasant aroma, but not really any bitterness. Nice quencher and a very typical Helles. Thanks to Clemme for bringing me this. 031101
